Next, a visit to The Barracks, built by the orders of Governor Macquarie to house the convicts and some settlers from the UK, later a Court Room. Not a prison, but with strict rules and curfews, the transported felons were afforded some liberty, especially when they were able to carry out lucrative works outside of their sentence requirements. Dormitaries for convicts were cramped and presumably pretty smelly.

Hyde Park fountains with St Marks Cathedral. These two above are certainly pretty smelly.

Jacandara trees are beautiful at this time of the year

Birdcage Walk

Back to The Rocks

Harts Pub. That's "Day of the Dead" black lager, inspired by Aztec xocolatl combining cocoa and chilli. Oh, and it's 6.7 ABV. So you drink it in a wine glass. Carefully.

Bohemian Darlinghurst. Great pubs and great brews. The Lord Roberts and The Darlo Bar. And houses owned by Size 0 models, it seems.
