This can only be New Zealand.

At home sometimes we think our lives may be a bit dull. But not a minute of that for the Krazy Kiwis. When you have a spare moment after the mountain biking, the canyoning, the rock climbing and the trekking, you can always relax in style...
1. Frisbee Golf
Frisbee golf or frolf (a combination of frisbee and golf), is a game that is very similar to traditional ball golf. However, instead of using golf balls and golf clubs, players throw a disc into a basket or at a target. Score is kept the same with the lowest score winning.

Yeah, that's all fine in theory. But aerodynamics not my speciality (though some may argue that a strong forearm is). So first we buy said frisbees. And rather like trad golf you can have all the gear and no idea. So armed with a driver disc, a mid range, a 'putter', a skydiver, a low-flyer and a mashie niblick - oh and a waist belt and pouches for carriage of aforementioned. And a water carrier. And a small mortgage with ANZ Bank, we set off.
This game is a real laugh even if you're hopeless. We didn't fare too badly after all, though Oli was rather a star. Also a bandito, as he'd played before. I demanded a handicap, but he retorts that the only handicap he has is by playing with us.

Er, the basket's the other way, Graham

Another double bogey.

At least the least promising beginner wins a prize. A whole roasting dog!
2. Air Yoga
There's not many pubs and clubs about in the wilds, so groups of young people get together for a glass of wine, some frittatas and practice their flexibility and strength. Often similar displays may be seen in the UK at country shows and featuring motorcycles; here, however, these people towers can sometimes reach 10 deep with the uppermost athelete (or 'Rangatira' in Maori) often left hanging from the crossbar of the rugby posts as the remainder of the team set off for another iron man triathalon.

3. (And the wierdest of all). Dressing up dead possums
In Australia the possum is seen as somewhat of a national treasure. In New Zealand it's a menace and an unnatural predator of threatened flightless birds (such as the kiwi, a national treasure)
A New Zealand school has defended its best-dressed dead possum competition at its annual pig hunt fundraiser after online critics labelled it "sick". Pauline Sutton, principal of the school on the North Island, has defended the event and says feedback has all been positive."When people die, don't we dress them up?" she said.It is the first time the school has held a dress-up possum competition and Ms Sutton says it may not be the last.
