After a long, but thanks to Emirates Airways, none-too arduous flight, we are finally at our destination in Wanaka - safe and sound.
Thanks to everyone for their best wishes on our exciting trip - from Edinburgh to Dundee, Longforgan to California, Blair Atholl to Lincolnshire to London we are going to miss you all, but will keep you in touch with our adventures.
Leaving Glasgow on a sunny Tuesday evening, we took off to the north waving a fond farewell to the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, toasted with a glass of champagne. Via Dubai then Auckland we finally land some 30 hours later in Queenstown and are surprised but delighted to be met by both Oli and Gill and an as yet still unborn Baby Boyes .
It's a fabulous day in Central Otago as we wind our way up the mountain roads towards Wanaka itself.
A quick supper then - lights out - it's dark at 6.00pm, but we weary travellers need bed, sleep and we'll worry about the suitcases tomorrow. G'night all....
